A UCI Physics and Astronomy
team, led by professors Jonathan Feng and Tim Tait, have made a discovery that
could profoundly change the future of physics. They have found evidence of a
fifth force of nature and a new particle that could have implications for the
unification of forces and efforts to understand the dark matter that pervades
the universe. If their work is confirmed, I predict a Nobel Prize.
